Description

The General Pump Kit 153 is a “soft” seal overhaul kit designed for pumps with 20mm plungers. Unlike the “complete” kits that include brass retainers, a soft kit focuses purely on the rubber and fiber components that wear down during normal operation.

This kit is designed to service all three (3) cylinders of the pump.

Compatibility

Kit 153 is the standard seal replacement for several popular GP and Interpump series:

• T Series: T1011, T1311, T1511, T2111, T911.

• TS Series: TS1011, TS1311, TS1511, TS1711, TS1811, TS2011, TS2021.

• Common Applications: This is one of the most widely used kits in the pressure washing industry, found on thousands of belt-drive and gear-box units.

Why “Soft” Packings?

Standard packings are often made of NBR (Buna-N). Kit 153 is typically used for standard cold-water applications (up to 165°F). If you are running consistently hotter water, you would move to the Kit 100 (High-Temp) version.

When to Replace (Symptoms)

• The Weep Hole Drip: If you see a steady drip of water coming from the bottom center of the pump manifold.

• Loss of Pressure: If you can’t reach your desired PSI or if the pressure drops when you start spraying.

• Pulsation: If the pump feels like it’s “thumping” or the high-pressure hose is vibrating excessively.
