Description

The CAT 34054 is a specialized seal kit designed for the 4SF Series direct-drive plunger pumps. This kit is unique because it includes the 45188 seals, which are high-pressure, reinforced components designed to handle the specific tolerances of the SF (Super Flow) pump line.

Like most CAT “soft” kits, this provides enough components to service all three (3) cylinders.

Compatibility

This kit is the OEM standard for CAT 4SF models, which are often found on high-end portable and stationary pressure washers:

• 4SF Series: 4SF35EL, 4SF40EL, 4SF45EL, 4SF50EL.

• Flow Rates: Typically used on pumps ranging from 3.5 to 5.0 GPM.

• Note: This kit is specific to the 4SF frame. If you have a 2SF or 5SF pump, the seal diameters will differ.

When to Replace (Symptoms)

• Water in the Crankcase: CAT pumps have a very distinct “milky oil” look when the low-pressure seals fail.

• External Leaking: Water dripping from the weep holes at the bottom of the manifold (the area between the brass head and the crankcase).

• Pressure Fluctuations: If the high-pressure seals (45188) are worn, water can bypass the plunger, causing a drop in PSI and a vibrating spray pattern.
