The 49655 (also referenced as 46893) Ceramic Plunger is a high-precision internal component for Cat Pumps. It is specifically designed for the 5CP series, most notably the 5CP5120.

Because the plunger is made of solid ceramic, it provides an incredibly smooth and hard surface that resists the friction and heat generated by the high-pressure seals, but it is also brittle and susceptible to physical or thermal shock.
