Description
A 1/2″ 45-Degree High-Pressure Elbow is a heavy-duty forged fitting designed for extreme pressure environments. Unlike standard “cast” plumbing found in hardware stores, this is a Class 3000 (3000#) component, engineered to handle the intense hydraulic shocks and high PSI levels common in industrial machinery and high-end pressure washing skids.
Key Features
-
Forged Carbon Steel: Typically manufactured from ASTM A105 steel. The forging process eliminates internal porosities and creates a much stronger grain structure than casting, allowing it to withstand a 3,000 PSI working pressure (with a significantly higher burst pressure safety margin).
-
45-Degree Angle: Provides a “long-sweep” feel compared to a sharp 90-degree turn. This helps maintain flow velocity, reduces turbulence, and is perfect for routing heavy high-pressure hoses around a frame without causing kinks.
-
1/2″ FPT (Female Pipe Thread): Features deep, precision-cut internal threads on both ends. This is the standard size for larger bypass lines and high-flow discharge manifolds.
-
Durability: Built to handle “water hammer” and the heavy vibration of diesel or gas-powered pump units.
