Description
The AR 1856 is the primary Crankcase Oil Seal Kit for the XRA and XRV series pumps. While the “water seals” (packings) keep water inside the manifold, these oil seals are responsible for keeping the lubricating oil inside the crankcase and preventing it from leaking out along the plunger rods.
This kit contains all the seals necessary to service all three (3) cylinders.
Compatibility
Kit 1856 is designed for AR “E” version (electric flange) and standard gas-drive versions of the high-flow XRA/XRV series:
-
XRA Series: XRA3.5G40, XRA4G40, XRA5.5G30, XRA5G35
-
XRV Series: XRV3G40, XRV4G40, XRV4G32
-
Note: These are professional-grade pumps typically used on high-PSI industrial units.
Kit Contents
This kit consists of three (3) Crankcase Oil Seals. These are typically “lip seals” with a spring tensioner on the inner diameter to ensure a tight grip on the plunger rod.
| Quantity | Part Number | Component | Function |
| 3 | 1260430 | Oil Seal (Crankcase) | Prevents oil from leaking out of the pump body. |
When to Replace (Symptoms)
-
Oil Leakage: You see a steady drip of amber or black oil coming from the area where the pump head meets the pump body.
-
Low Oil Levels: You find yourself constantly topping off the pump oil without a visible external crack in the crankcase.
-
The “Muddy” Look: If your water seals fail and you don’t replace them, the water will eventually push past these oil seals. While the water seals prevent water from getting out, these oil seals are the last line of defense preventing water from getting in.
